29.02.20 : Neil Island -> Port Blair

29/02/20Neil Island -> Port Blair :
Got up early and walked to the beach outside our resort, but it was disappointing.  It was dead coral reef and beach was very far away and very sandy and rough.

We returned and got ready to pack up and check out.  We had an elaborate breakfast and felt very bad to leave the beautiful hotel.  It seems the rack rate for this rooms were Rs.35000/- per night and we were the lucky ones to experience it with Veena World.

We proceeded to the dock to take Makruzz cruise from Neil Island back to Port Blair.  While waiting at the pier to take cruise. Our group sat together passed time and had fun singing antakshari.

Here our bus was there to take us to our hotel Peerless Resort.  This hotel was a real come down, after Summer Sand.  It was functional hotel to spend just a night.

We were taken to Kala Pani Museum, where the history of the cellular jail were illustrated with pictures and photographs taken.  It was depressing to see and hear how our fellow patriots suffered and died.

Kalapani is a historical museum, that takes one on a voyage over the dark waters through the main settlement of andamans, revolt of 1857, board settlement beginning from early history, antagonistic Aborigines, development of cell imprison, Japanese occupation, reoccupation by British to flexibility all these are delineated through recorded Photographs dioramas ancient pieces documentaries

Our Group Photo alongwith Sagar our tour Guide in front of Cellular Jail.

From here we were taken to the Emporium for shopping of local work.    Returned to hotel for our farewell get together and all of us felt so bonded and felt sad for the trip ending.  Had our dinner together.
